Make your own tortillas easily with this naturally white maize which has been nixtamalised (outer coating of the maize softened and removed) making it ready for you to make with your Victoria Tortilla Press.

Tortilla Recipe
Ingredients:
300g BakeryBits White Masa Flour
350g water
Makes about 20x 6”, 13x 8” or 11x 10” tortillas using a Victoria tortilla press.
Method:
- Mix the Masa flour and water with your hands or a dough whisk for about 2 minutes to form a soft dough. Add a little water if the dough is dry.
- Divide the dough into portions suitable for the size of your Tortilla press about 30g for the 6.5” press, 45g for the 8” press and 65g for the 10” press.
- Using two pieces of baking parchment the size of your press, put a ball of the dough between them into the press
- Press the tortilla until it fills the press plate.
- Peel off the tortilla and cook on a medium-hot griddle (or large skillet) turning 2 or 3 times.
- Keep cooked tortillas covered to keep them warm and soft.
