If you want an oven with a rustic feel and an attractive domed appearance, look no further than Four Grand-Mère’s ‘Campagnard’. Produced by a company which has specialised in the construction of wood-fired ovens for over thirty years, it combines a traditional shape with steel-fibre reinforced volcanic concrete and a design which utilises old-fashioned bricks and tiles. This Campagnard wood-fired oven can hold 3 or 4 pizzas or 5-6 1kg round loaves, and is suitable for cooking everything from bread and pizzas to meringues. The refractory, where the food is cooked, is surrounded by highly efficient insulating material to increase the substantial heat retention capabilities of the oven. Suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, the ‘Campagnard’ is a beautiful centrepiece for any family home.
The Campagnard comes in 4 models, standard and raised height (+7.5cm), and volcanic concrete ("chamotte") or brick lined.
All models may be used for bread and pizzas. The raised height gives easier access to the rear of the oven and allows for roasting. The brick lining gives both an attractive finish to the inside of the oven and exceptional heat distribution.
We chose to keep Four Grand-Mère ovens after installing one and living with it at home for a couple of years, so that we really understood how to get the best from these high-end ovens.

Ensure that your installation is compliant with local and national regulations. Check with your local HETAS technician or Building Control if in doubt. The Campagnard standard height models need the 155mm kit: the raised vault models need the 180mm kit.
