The Brød & Taylor Folding Proofer & Slow Cooker (model FP-205) makes made-from-scratch baking easier than ever with an optimum proofing environment and easy storage. Set the temperature lower for a longer “cool rise” or turn up the heat to give your yeast a boost on a cold winter's day. The Folding Proofer is just the right size to hold up to the 6L Swedish Stainless Mixing Bowls.

The Folding Proofer & Slow Cooker used in the Slow Cook Mode is best for traditional slow cooking, making black garlic and sous vide cooking. Simply place your metal pot directly on the heating plate. For slow cooking in the Proofer both the rack and the water tray are removed. Set the temperature on the digital panel according to what is specified in the Brod & Taylor recipe you are preparing.

A large window gives you a full view of the spacious interior where full-sized loaves fit easily. There is no need to cover your dough as the included water tray keeps humidity at an optimum level, the temperature of the proofer can be set from 21-49°C / 70-120°F (90°C/194°F in slow cook mode).

The proofer comes with a UK 3 pin plug as standard (optionally substitute for a Euro or Australian plug lead). You can also use proofer to make yoghurt and creme fraiche, melt and hold tempered chocolate and soften butter.

The Brød & Taylor Folding Proofer has a 3 year warranty (Europe).

100% Rye Sourdough - The King of Sourdough

100% Rye Sourdough sliced and arranged
For some bakers the 100% Rye Sourdough loaf is considered the King of Sourdough as it has a reputation for both an amazing flavour (which it does) and a complexity in getting it right. It has an intense sourdough tang to it, perfect when paired with strong-flavoured foods like pickled herrings or blue cheese. Though my favourite way of eating it is toasted and buttered with Seville marmalade. ... Read more

    Norwegian Boller - Cardamom buns

    Norwegian Boller - Cardamom buns
Like the croissant is to France, boller are to Norway, although we eat them with coffee at parties and when walking the forests and mountains. They are a milk-based bread, lightly sweet with just a hint of cardamom. Boller are available everywhere in Norway with and without raisins but I have an overwhelming sense of disappointment when having one without, so always include them. The most ... Read more
