A fully Anglicised book by an American author, Nick Malgieri takes you through the range of ingredients and equipment before taking on the first steps of bread baking through sourdough to enriched and more complex bakes.

We like the cosmopolitan range of recipes included, not only breads but dishes in which the bread may be used. The Deli Rye and Breakfast Strata with Corn and Chillies stood out for us. This is a book for the beginner and for those wanting to extend their reportoire.
