Dove-shaped Colomba Pasquale (Easter dove) cases, each sized for 1kg dough. Colomba Pasquale is an Easter variant of the panettone originating in Milan, and made with almonds, candied peel and amaretto essence rather than raisins.
There are several descriptions of the origin of the columba, from the appearance of doves after a battle in 1176, thought to represent the holy spirit, to the more straightforward representation of Spring.
